Safeframe
Description
The Safeframe’s top cap conveniently cradles the legs encouraging the operator to face forward rather than turning sideways or twisting the body.
The leading cause of accidents is when operators stand on the top cap or top rung. We know weight is a major factor when selecting a ladder however we have a tendency to choose the lightest and often the smallest ladder because its easier to maneuverer. AS/NZS Rules specify that the operator should not stand on the top cap or top rung due to its unsafe and catastrophic consequences. Little Giant have deleted the top rung, increased the footprint of the second top rung resulting in a more balanced & stable stepladder.
The Safeframe also has the benefit of the patent-pending Ground-Cue, which alerts the user when they are on the bottom rung. The alert is heard and felt through the foot of the operator and provides confidence when descending off the ladder. More than 20% of ladder accidents are experienced when the operator thinks they are on the bottom step. Can you recall walking down a staircase at night and miscalculating how many steps to the bottom? Ouch!!
Possibly Little Giants most prolific feature is the ratchet levelers that appear on each leg. You will always find level ground by simply deploying each leveler with your foot until all four legs are stable. Each leg has a maximum of 15cm of adjustment. No need to search for bricks or other dangerous makeshift accessories to complete tasks from now on.
The Safeframe is manufactured of high strength non-conductive fiberglass and has an Australian rating of 150kgs.
